Veteran’s Day Broadcast
Join Karlson & McKenzie in Saying Thanks
This Veteran’s Day
100.7 WZLX and CarePacks have once again joined forces for the 9th Annual Veterans Day Broadcast on Monday, November 11, 2013, at the Weymouth Elks #2232 Members Lounge, 1197 Washington St.(Rt 53) in Weymouth, MA.
The Karlson & McKenzie Show will broadcast live from 5:30-10:00AM in honor of all United States Veterans. Stop by and enjoy a free breakfast and help us thank those who have served our country and preserved our freedom! Plus, you can also win a $250 gift card to Work ‘n Gear.
CarePacks is a non-profit organization staffed and managed entirely by volunteers, that is dedicated to sending care packages to US troops in Afghanistan. Founded in 2004, CarePacks’ goal is to provide these soldiers with supplies to help improve their morale, mental health, and quality of life, and to remind soldiers that they are remembered by people “back home.”
Sponsored by VA New England Healthcare and Work ‘n Gear.
What can you do?
Cash is great, but there are a lot of items on the CarePacks wish list too!
Below is a list of items CarePacks tries to include in the packages they send to our troops overseas. They are always looking for contacts to purchase any of these items in bulk, at a reasonable price. Donations of goods is their main goal. Contact them at 781-340-0161.
