Rock N’ Roll Diary Extra: Jimi Hendrix National Anthem Guitar Auctioned Off
44 years ago at the original Woodstock, Jimi Hendrix showcased his love for America by playing his own version of the “Star Spangled Banner”. The guitar he used to play it was auctioned off on this day 23 years ago, for an astronomical sum.
