Robbie Williams Accused Neighbor Jimmy Page of Spying on Him

UPDATE: In June 2017 Williams issued a public apology for his comments about Page.

Three years ago, Robbie Williams purchased a West London mansion next door to legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, with plans of giving it major refurbishments. According to Spin, Page filed an objection to the plans, but Williams finally got approval to begin renovating this past July. Now, in an off-air Radio Deejay interview, Williams is likening his neighbor’s behavior to a “mental illness.”

Multiple sources are reporting that Williams said “So um, Jimmy has been sitting in his car outside our house with the windows down, four hours at a time with recording equipment.” He claims that Page is “recording the workmen to see if they’re making too much noise.”

“And also two weeks ago, the builders came in and he was asleep in his garden waiting,” he added about his neighbor. “Honestly it’s like a mental illness. Like, concentration.”

During the conversation, Williams reportedly said that “the same thing is happening to Gary Barlow with Brian May,” and joked “maybe I should apologize to Ed Sheeran for what I’m going to do to him in 15 years’ time.”
