It’s been four years since Poison has toured together, which is the largest gap the band has been off the scene since the five years leading up to their reunion tour in 1999.
Although frontman Bret Michaels has kept busy recording new solo music and playing songs from Poison’s catalog on his tours, it sounds like he’s ready to get back together with C.C. DeVille, Bobby Dall, and Rikki Rockett for a proper tour reunion. “The honest answer to that is I absolutely hope so,” Michaels said about a potential Poison reunion. “And next year it’ll be Poison and Def Leppard,” he revealed. “The last time we were out was, I think, 2012, and we’ll go out and bring it again, and it’ll be insane.”
2012 was the last time Poison hit the road together, and Def Leppard was on the bill then, too. Upon the announcement of the concert four years ago, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliot had said “We had such a good time going out with Poison in 2009 that we thought it only right to do it again.”
Def Leppard have yet to comment on Michaels’ tour announcement for next year.
