Not only is Dhani Harrison a dead ringer for his late father George physically, but he also sounds just like the Beatle, which may come in handy for an upcoming project spearheaded by his mother, Olivia.
At the 10th anniversary of The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Olivia told Billboard that she and her 37-year-old musician son, Dhani, were talking about finishing some of George’s unreleased songs.
“There are a lot of songs that are unfinished,” Olivia said of her late husband. “I think there’s a project there. I just need time to get to it.”
Despite teasing fans about heading back into the studio three years ago, Dhani’s band Fistful of Mercy hasn’t released any music since their self-titled debut album came out back in 2010. However, Dhani has kept busy scoring films and television series, with WGN TV series The Outsiders being the latest.
Do you think Dhani will be able to handle the task of completing his father’s music? Watch him cover George’s “Let It Down” below.
