Boston Lynyrd Skynyrd Show Postponed Due To Health Issues

Lynyrd Skynyrd has cancelled or rescheduled a number of concert dates after guitarist Gary Rossington reported chest pains a few days ago.

Skynyrd fans will remember that Rossington suffered a heart attack in October of last year, and has had a history of heart problems.

The band cancelled their Lewiston, NY show back on Tuesday, July 19th, stating that they would “resume their tour once Gary is cleared by medical professionals.”

WZLX has learned through Live Nation that Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Boston show, scheduled for Friday night (July 22nd), has been postponed.

Concert officials tell WZLX in an e-mail that the new date will be September 23rd, 2016 at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion – the same venue.

Tickets for the 7/22 show will be honored at the rescheduled 9/23 show.
