There’s no argument that LEGOs are nostalgic and iconic.
How many of us created scenes from the colorful plastic blocks as a kid?
For that matter, how many of us have stepped on a brick in the middle of the night causing a new level of pain to shoot through our bare feet as parents?
One parent is gaining some internet notoriety after creating a record store scene out of his son’s LEGOs.
“I’ve been doing these little buildings that Lego sells as sets,” Chris Cooper told THUMP. “I wanted to try to build a custom one, and a record store was my first choice, since that’s where I spend a lot of my time.”
Aptly named Brick City Records, Cooper’s creation sits on a street scene in his office, next to Al’s Barber Shop and a pool hall.
With LEGO in full resurgence thanks to blockbuster movies at the box office and high video game sales, it might be a good idea to return to the days of plastic nostalgia and issue Cooper’s record store as an actual building set.
