Guns N’ Roses had a couple days off before their Not In This Lifetime tour stop in Nashville, so Slash generously decided to treat the 500 person crowd at Whitford/St. Holmes’ show to a little Jimi Hendrix last night.
The show, which features Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford and Ted Nugent vocalist Derek St. Holmes, took place at the small rock club Exit In. Perhaps Slash got the idea after talking to Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer during his takeover of the Karlson & Mckenzie show here at WZLX last week.
During the drummer’s special takeover show, Slash not only admitted that the Guns N’ Roses reunion is “still sort of blowing [his bandmates’] minds,” but Steven Tyler and Joey Kramer also confirmed that Aerosmith will be hitting the road next year for a possible farewell tour. Unfortunately, Whitford/St. Holmes and Guns N’ Roses don’t have any overlapping tour dates in Massachusetts, but GNR will head to Gillette Stadium for two shows this month. Don’t have tickets? You can win them from WZLX! For the times to call in, and for a bonus chance to enter online, click here.
