Sixx Strings: New England’s Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed And Bury Your Dead Are Taking On Dirt Fest 2016

Are you ready to get down and dirty next month?  Are you ready to have your face melted with some of the best Metal, Hardcore and Hard Rock bands out there?  Are you ready to experience a large festival with a down home feel?!   Well DIRT FEST is hoping you are…and if history serves as an example, they are more than willing to assist you with all of those things!

On August 13th The Crofoot Festival Grounds in downtown Pontiac, MI will be ushering in this years’ edition of the infamous homegrown festival that seems to impress its attendees year after year.  When it seems that a large, well run festival that is not overshadowed by corporate sponsorship and control is a rarity nowadays; Dirt Fest seems to be defying the norm.  With humble beginnings almost 20 years ago, this festival is a yearly destination point for thousands of concert goers throughout the region.

For 2016, Dirt Fest’s 50 plus band line up is being led by 3 heavyweights that just so happen to be from New England.  Boston legends KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and BURY YOUR DEAD, along with Connecticut’s own brutal institution by the name of HATEBREED, will surely pummel the fans into a sonic fury.  Killswitch Engage and Hatebreed are currently out supporting their recent and critically acclaimed releases, while Bury Your Dead is back together again playing dates for the 10th Anniversary of their album “Beauty and the Breakdown”.   And if that isn’t enough to make you ready to trek out to “Pure” Michigan, then just think of the other bands on the bill such as: ASKING ALEXANDRIA, WILSON, BORN OF OSIRIS, BEYOND THRESHOLD, SOIL, ATTILA, WALLS OF JERICHO, PSYCHOSTICK, AS WE DIVIDE, OUR DYING DAY and many more!

With this line-up and a single VIP ticket right around a c-note, this festival might just be one of the best musical deals going this year.  And I say that from first-hand experience; for the last time I experienced Dirt Fest, I left with a ton of great new music, a bunch of new friends, and a huge smile on my face!

SIXX STRINGS will be there this year… I recommend you are too!
