Bob Dylan Plays ‘Free Bird’ After Concertgoer Makes the Cliché Request

by Alisha Jackson

It’s every rock musician’s right to have Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s song “Free Bird” requested during one (if not all) of their concerts. Hitting the music scene nearly sixty years ago, you’d think that Bob Dylan would tune out the “Free Bird” screams by now. But this past weekend, a request for the song finally got through to the artist.

Dylan was playing a show at the famous Greek Theater in Berkeley, California, when he and his band obliged to play the cliché request, and ending up closing out their set with Skynyrd’s rock anthem.

Watch the fan-shot footage of the performance below!
