Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee didn’t receive any proper goodbyes from his bandmates after their final concert, and now he’s getting a little whiny about it.
There wasn’t a sense of “togetherness” during the band’s final show, Lee tells Rolling Stone. “It’s kind of strange, man. We’re a f****** weird band. Even stranger, after the final night, we had a big party backstage on New Year’s Eve, and I never saw the other guys. We never even said ‘goodbye.’ F****** strange as hell, dude. I mean, what the f***?”
When he was asked why nobody said goodbye to him, Tommy didn’t have a clue. “I really don’t know. I mean, if you’re getting divorced, you still give your ex a hug, or flip her off or something. You either get a kiss or a slap, or … something. Give me a sign! Let me know you’re alive.”
According to Tommy, it’s been radio silence from Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx ever since. “I think f****** Nikki unfollowed me on f****** Twitter, like, the next day. I was like, ‘Wow. OK, dude.'”
Sounds like their Final Tour really was the end.
