Watch Jimmy Fallon Parody James Taylor – With the Help of the REAL James Taylor

By Matt Dolloff (@mattdolloff)

Local music legend James Taylor’s music may often be soft and plaintive, but he’s also been known to goof around at times – as evidenced by his cameos in movies like Funny People.

Mr. Taylor poked fun at himself again Wednesday night on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, where he and the titular host performed an original ballad while riding a seesaw.

Appropriately enough, it’s called “Two James Taylors on a Seesaw”.

The music sounds exactly like you’d expect a James Taylor song to sound, while Fallon does yet another great impression of a musical icon. He sounds as close to a younger version of Taylor as you could expect.

This is one of the only times that Fallon has gotten the actual musician he’s spoofing to join in on the action. We’ll never forget the epic-ness of Neil Young showing up for this.
