Gene Simmons may not actually hold the World Record for longest tongue, but he certainly has the most famous tongue in the world.
There’s no question he would take great interest in anyone who could recreate his signature tongue moves he made famous as the frontman of KISS. As you can see above, Gene is still quite proud of his own tongue, and would not hesitate to flaunt it at any opportunity.
California native Nick Stoeberl currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest tongue at 10.1 centimeters (3.97 inches), but now an 18-year-old girl from Michigan named Adrianne Lewis is coming for the crown.
And based on this photo, Gene would be quite impressed with her appendage…
According to News.com in Australia, Lewis says her tongue measures 10.16 cm. I’m no mathematician but by my calculations, that would give her the World Record for longest tongue by a whopping 6 millimeters, or .236 inches.
She can touch her nose, chin, and elbow with her tongue, and claims she can even touch her eye “with a little help.”
She hasn’t been officially tested to see if she’s the new record holder yet, but she has been in contact with Ripley’s Believe It or Not for a feature story. Surely Gene is waiting with bated breath to see who wins out here.
