Slowdim are Paul Sentz – guitar and vocals, Karina DaCosta – bass and vocals, James Zaner – drums

Slowdim is a three piece band based in Boston. They formed in early 2012 after Paul had recorded some demos in his apartment during the winter months of 2010 and ‘11.

Karina and Paul have known each other since elementary school when they both lived in Virginia. They all met in Boston around 2005 while each one of them was playing in bands and soaking in the music scene.

Fast forward to 2011; the need to play live and record was very clear. Nestled in the backwoods of Carlisle, Mass, they went into Blue Jay Studio where their drummer James worked and began the recording process. The result,  their self-titled full length including the pop wonderment of, “Money.” The record is a melodic whirlwind of washed-out guitars and swirling harmonies.

They are songs that have crawled out from their hearts whether they be slightly broken, or triumphant and hopeful.
