It’s no surprise that Sir Paul can still sell out a venue in mere minutes, tickets to the July 9th Boston show were gone within five.

Tickets for the Fenway Park show went on sale to the general public at 10:00 on Friday morning, and were gone by 10:05am, according to a statement sent to 100.7 WZLX. The sell-out now holds a place in the record books as the fastest a concert has sold out in Fenway history.

“The record-breaking response to Paul’s performances four years ago at Fenway Park made it clear that the fans here would welcome him back anytime,” said Dave Marsden from concert promoter Live Nation. “Today yet another new sales record reaffirms just how much Boston and all of New England love Paul McCartney!”

This is Paul McCartney’s second Fenway attendance record, the first being when his August 5 & 6, 2009 shows drew the highest ever two-day concert attendance in the history of the ballpark.

Stay tuned to 100.7 WZLX and for more chances to win sold-out tickets to see Paul McCartney’s “Out There” tour in the coming weeks.
