Thanksgiving Eve. Labor Day. New Year’s Eve. The Fourth Of July. Memorial Day. St. Patrick’s Day. There aren’t many designated “drinking holidays,” so you gotta make the most of them — especially when they fall on a weekend.

And perhaps no drinking holiday means more to the city of Boston than St. Patrick’s Day, with a large population of our inhabitants having come from Irish descent. So kickoff your St. Patrick’s Day festivities with this Classic Rock Drinking Playlist!

Disclaimer: CBS Radio does not condone binge drinking. Please drink responsibly.

George Thorogood, “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer”

Pretty self explanatory.

AC/DC, “Have A Drink On Me”

Be the bigshot this weekend and buy a round of drinks for you and the boys, maybe…just maybe they’ll return the favor.

Metallica, “Whiskey In A Jar”

I prefer my whiskey on the rocks with cola, but to each his own.

Any Jimmy Buffet Song

Literally. Any Jimmy Buffett song. Pick one!

ZZ Top, “Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers”

It’s fine to drink beer, just don’t raise hell this St. Patty’s Day or you’ll get thrown in the slammer!

The Cars, “Good Times Roll”

Spend your weekend with friends and family, knock a few back and let the “Good Times Roll”!

KISS, “Cold Gin”

So “Cold Gin” might not be your typical Irish beverage, but hey, maybe Jameson’s Irish Whiskey just ain’t your cup of tea. That’s fine. All about personal preference.

The Kinks, “Alcohol”

This song is a cautionary tale about the ills of alcohol abuse. Let it be a warning and don’t go overboard!

The Doors, “Roadhouse Blues”

Drinking lyrics: “Well, I woke up this morning, I got myself a beer // Well, I woke up this morning, and I got myself a beer // The future’s uncertain, and the end is always near”
