Looks like Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl won’t be the only duet tonight at NYC’s 12-12-12 Concert for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and disclosed all the details regarding his 12-12-12 set, without much prying from Fallon.
“I’ll tell you exactly what we’re doing,” Waters told Fallon. “We’re doing a little bit of The Wall and a little bit of Dark Side of the Moon.”
Waters revealed they will be performing “In The Flesh” and “Another Brick in the Wall Part 1″ from The Wall, as well as “Money” and “Us and Them” from Dark Side of the Moon. Waters will cap off his set with The Wall‘s “Comfortably Numb,” with the assistance of a special guest, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder.
“I’m such a big fan of his work, and we’ve been friends for a while, so it’s great that he’s going to join us,” Waters said of the grunge icon.
Waters also revealed that he will continue his top-grossing The Wall tour in summer 2013. And by that point, he may just have a new record out. As previously reported, he’s been itching to release a new album, which he jokingly declared might go by the new name I’ve Been Saying This For 19 Years, So Don’t Hold Your Breath. (Rogers’ most recent solo album of original music, Amused to Death, was released in 1992.)
The 12-12-12 Concert also includes Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin of Coldplay. The show kicks off live from NYC’s Madison Square Garden starting at 7:30 p.m. tonight, and will be broadcast on 34 TV channels stateside, as well as internationally, and streamed online.
