  • 1967: The Who release Sell Out, featuring the classic hit “I Can See For Miles.”
  • 1975: Elton John receives his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The day is declared “Elton John Day” in Los Angeles.
  • 1988: Pink Floyd releases double-live album The Delicate Sound of Thunder, a chronicle of the band’s first tour without Roger Waters.
  • 1990: Mick Jagger marries Jerry Hall in Bali with a Hindu priest.
