A new documentary film about the life of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain is currently in the works, expected for release in 2014. Producer/director Billy Morgen, the man behind the new Rolling Stones documentary, will take the reigns on the project, according to the New York Post.
It was Kurt’s controversial ex-wife Courtney Love that really inspired Morgen to film the new movie. The two have been discussing the idea since 2007.
“Courtney [Love] is the one that brought me into this,” said Morgen. “We’ve been trying to find the right time to put this film together and the time is now.”
