If you came into $232 Million, what would yo do with it? How about a permanent vacation on your own Caribbean island. Maybe start a Lamborghini collection? Toss in a portion to stop world hunger? How about using some of your winnings to reunite legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses?
In an interview with London’s Sun newspaper, Adrian Bayford, a music shop owner from Haverhill, Suffolk, joked about using some of this new wealth to fund a concert starring original Guns N’ Roses lineup. “I’d have to get Guns N’ Roses together. I’m a real fan,” said Bayford. The original group consisted of Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler.
According to The Sun, the Bayford’s winnings make them richer than many of their musical idols including Slash, who’s worth a paltry $39 million.
The comedic news comes on the heals Axl Rose’s announcement that the current iteration of GnR would begin a 12-gig residency at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel. The series kicks off on Halloween and runs three times a week (mostly weekend nights) through November 24th.
Regardless of an a reunion, Duff McKagan should shoot the happy British winner a call. The former GnR bassist runs Meridian Rock, a wealth management company.
