It’s never been a secret that Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro is attracted to the dark side. From his fascination with tattoos to ongoing dalliances with the porn industry, Navarro has never shied away from his more hedonistic interests.

While Navarro is rarely one to turn down a promotional opportunity, he’s kept his recent foray into the extreme world of body suspension relatively quiet.

For the uninitiated, body suspension is the very complex and potentially dangerous practice of being literally suspended from hooks through temporary body piercings. Navarro recently performed his first suspension with noted expert Steve Truitt, allowing the moment to be documented through video and photographs.

Navarro and Jane’s Addiction are currently on the “Theatre of Escapists Tour,” which wraps up on the West Coast at the end of October.
