On this date in 1978, Crosby, Stills & Nash came to the Boston Garden for a memorable performance.
The band, which is occasionally joined by on-off member Neil Young, has sold more than 20 million records in the US and hit No. 1 on the charts with their 1970 album, Déjà Vu, and nearly did it again in 1977 when their album, CSN, reached the No. 2 spot. Altogether, the band has released seven platinum selling albums with five of those albums going 4x platinum or more!
CSN was the bands first full record without Young and included the hit singles “Just A Song Before I Go” and “Fair Game” which reached No. 7 and 43 on the singles chart, respectively.
While video from that night at the Garden is unavailable, here is a clip from a concert just days before in Washington D.C. of the band singing their song “Wooden Ships.”
