Springfield’s own Staind is not breaking up according to frontman and singer Aaron Lewis. Rather, they plan to go on hiatus after touring this year and next.
Lewis, who’s currently on tour with Staind, tells Billboard.com that after 14 years and 7 albums the band is ready for a break.
“We’ve got this next tour and we might do something next year and then we’re going to take a little break for a second. We’re not breaking up. We’re not gonna stop making music.”
He continues, “We’re just going to take a little hiatus that really hasn’t ever been taken in our career. We put out seven records in 14 years. We’ve been pretty busy.”
In other Staind news, Aaron Lewis is preparing for the release of his new solo album The Road, with its lead single “Endless Summer” rising up the country charts.
