The ball is rolling and it’s starting to pick up momentum.
A Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary, which looked all but dead in the water a little under a year ago, seems now not to be a question of “if,” but when?
Guitarist Keith Richards said in a recent interview that they’ve begun rehearsing, but echoed Charlie Watts’ comments a few weeks back, in that they’re still undecided as to what exactly they plan on doing.
“There’s things in the works – I think it’s definitely happening,” he told the BBC. “But when? I can’t say yet.”
He added, “We’re playing around with the idea and had a couple of rehearsals – we’ve got together and it feels so good.”
Fans shouldn’t be expecting a worldwide, multi-year tour like their last one, A Bigger Bang, because Keith Richards’ health is still a concern. Let’s just all hope that, whatever they do, they’re including Boston in their plans!
