Classic rock fans reacted with mixed emotions when they found out that American Idol alum Adam Lambert will be filling in as the frontman for various Queen shows.
Now that Lambert has played with the rock legends on a few occasions, I think we’ve all arrived at the same conclusion: He’s pretty damn good. Not Freddie Mercury, but pretty damn good.
Over the weekend Lambert, Roger Taylor and Brian May took part in the Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation charity concert at Independence Square in Kiev, Ukraine.
A significant amount of the proceeds went to the foundation, and the artists who performed waived their booking fees and donated it to the charity.
The “new” Queen comprised of frontman Adam Lambert play a number of shows coming up, including one tomorrow night (7/3) in Moscow and three sold-out shows in London on July 11, 12 and 14 at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo.
Saturday night’s concert has been made available on YouTube, and we have it for you right here on WZLX.com!
