It was tremendous to see so many people out for the 5th Annual Paulie’s New Orleans Jazz and Blues Festival in Worcester over the weekend! Maybe it was the great weather on Saturday (just a little rain) and Sunday (just perfect), but definately it was the tremendous music from people like Tab Benoit, Eric Lindell, Johnny Sansone, Mem Shannon and many more.

In fact, it was said at the festival that there was really no artists down in New Orleans for the people there to see; all the A-level musicians were in Worcester! I was there to MC, but nearly all the performers just wanted to walk on stage playing without an introduction, so I spent my time grooving to the rhythms, eating red beans n’ rice and talking to you guys! Good time. Already looking forward to #6 next year!

Thanks got out to Randy and Jil Kohlenberger for the fine CHOOSE YOUR BLUES list. A set of drinking songs! It’s okay to drink, but don’t drink till you get the blues! Randy and Jil (plus B.B. & Lucille – their cats) all get Sunday morning Blues T-shirts for their list! Well, maybe not the cats; we have to design a four-pawed T-shirt before we do that!
