Aerosmith kicked off their 2012 summer tour in support of upcoming new album Music From Another Dimension with a show in Minneapolis Saturday night. It was a big, important night for the band, but that didn’t stop Steven Tyler & Co. from having a little fun backstage.

In the above video clip, Tyler struts around backstage in a black metal-studded leather jacket. The camera follows him to bassist Tom Hamilton, who’s sporting gold-colored boots. “I’m the freak!?” Tyler screams playfully.

With the tour officially kicked off, the countdown to the band’s two-night homecoming at the TD Garden can begin. Music From Another Dimension is due out August 28. Check out a video from the concert in Minneapolis below.
