So pollen has exploded all over the place this past weekend, and it’s really irritating our eyes and noses. We want to know: What songs most irritate your ears?
We posed the question on our Facebook page and most of you decided to take out your frustrations on particular artists, or genres.
Here’s how you responded…
10. Rupert Holmes – “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)”
A lot of people don’t mind enjoying a pina colada on a nice, hot day at the beach. However, most everyone can’t stand this song — AND getting caught in the rain for that matter.
9. The Clash – “Rock The Casbah”
Knowing is half the battle, and nobody knows what the heck a “casbah” is. Irritating indeed.
8. Anything by Adele
All of her songs are wicked depressing and her voice is just tough to listen to. It’s hard to argue with you guys on this one.
7. Rap Music
Yup, this entire genre of music was slammed by our Facebook fans. Can’t say we were surprised…
6. Meatloaf – “Paradise By The Dashboard Lights”
This is one of those songs you don’t mind hearing once in a great while. But the frantic, back-and-forth dialogue between the man and the woman in the song is, at times, unbearable.
5. “That Justine Beber Punk”
Yup, one of our Facebook fans actually said that. We love you guys…
4. Yoko Ono
Look at that face and tell me you’re not irritated. She broke up The Beatles for god’s sake…The Beatles!
3. Anything by Green Day
Even their own fans turned their backs on them when they “went commercial” after putting out a few albums. Not a good look Green Day, not a good look.
2. Nickelback
No particular song, just Nickelback in general — a band that’s been accused of destroying rock music as we know it.
1. Rebecca Black – “Friday”
Was there any doubt that this song wouldn’t take the top (or bottom, depending how you look at it) spot?
