According to the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Motley Crue[/lastfm] singer who spoke with the Las Vegas Sun, Vince Neil is ready to ditch the band to pursue other interests.

Formed in 1981, Motley Crue has been active for over 30 years now and, apparently, Vince Neil is ready to turn off the microphone after their Las Vegas residency ends next month.

He told the Las Vegas Sun:

“There are so many opportunities in front of me that I’m really excited about. I’m just not sure I can give them the time and effort I’ll need, and continue with the band. I just don’t want to look back later in life and regret that I didn’t pursue them. Eventually it’s time to call it quits – it might be the time to just kind of bow out.”

This news came as a surprise to many because just last week it was reported that Motley Crue is set to join KISS on their fall tour.

Perhaps Motley Crue minus Vince Neil will be joining [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]KISS[/lastfm] this fall?
