You know that one house in every neighborhood that’s just littered with junk all over the lawn? And if it gets bad enough, all the neighbors band together and file a complaint with the town? Well that’s what just happened with David Gilmour.

Mr. Gilmour has been told by authorities that he must remove the yellow beach hut used to store bicycles on his waterfront property by October 1st or face prosecution.
The mansion itself where the eyesore is built on is listed at £3 million, or roughly $4.1 million US dollars.
According to a Brighton and Hove City Council spokesperson, “We have had a complaint from a member of the public and are legally obliged to act.”
Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson appealed the decision but it did them no good.
The spokesperson continued, “As the planning appeal has failed, we have told the owners that the hut must be gone by October 1. If that doesn’t happen, we would have no option but to issue an enforcement notice.”
What would that entail?
“Failure to comply with that means either prosecution or the council may remove the hut and charge the householder.”
We’ll keep you up-to-speed on beach hut removal as soon as more information becomes available.
