The rumor mill was swirling last week after all 4 members of the Rolling Stones were seen exiting a building in London, indicating a possible 50th anniversary tour in the making. Now, Jagger is saying not so fast!
It seems as though Mick Jagger is content with his new band SuperHeavy and that’s the only thing in his plans at the moment.
SuperHeavy is comprised of Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Damian Marley and A.R. Rahman and their album is now in stores.
“If people like it, we could do a few other things,” said Jagger on SuperHeavy.
When asked by The Sun magazine about the band that made him famous and a possible reunion tour, Jagger was quick to refute the rumors.
“Don’t hold your breath.” In doing so, the Stones frontman also denied rumors of the band performing at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
“When a band starts as a blues band, it always remains sort of true to that.”
I’ll believe it when I see it, I’m still holding out hope for a 50th anniversary reunion tour.
