Another rock opera from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Who[/lastfm] is back in the spotlight. The 1973 classic Quadrophenia is getting the collector’s box set treatment.
Pete Townshend announced the box set Wednesday in a blog post on The Who’s official website.

Rolling Stone posted the complete text of the post, in which Townshend says the box set will be due “in October, if all goes well.”
He also wrote that he’s working on restoring old demos and writing liner notes. So while he’s hard at work on delivering the Quadrophenia box set, his post still says nothing on the status of The Who as a band.
There is still nothing planned as far as he and Roger Daltrey together, but we do have the live Tommy concert from Daltrey to look forward to this September! Find out how to listen and win tickets all weekend and buy a pair of tickets with your Workforce VIP account.
