It’s no secret that life as a rock star for Steven Tyler has been a wild one. He’s guaranteeing that his upcoming memoir will contain every debauched detail we can possibly handle.

According to Reuters, Tyler said that his upcoming memoir, Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?, will contain “all the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex & drugs, transcendence & chemical dependence you will ever want to hear.”

During his career, Tyler has visited rehab multiple times, contracted hepatitis C, undergone throat surgery, and endured ugly public spats with his band mates from Aerosmith…And that’s just since 1997. Are we prepared for the type of depraved details from the ’70s and ’80s that he plans to disclose?

The book, which comes out May 3, will be “the unbridled truth, the in-your-face, up-close and prodigious tale of Steven Tyler straight from the horse’s lips,” according to Tyler. So make sure you’re sitting down when you read it.

Tyler’s gig as a judge on the 10th season of “American Idol” has gained the 63-year-old rocker plenty of new, younger fans who may be interested in picking up the book to learn more about his wild past.

While his role on the show has drawn groans from his band mates and longtime fans, it’s been a very successful move by FOX to add him. According to Bloomberg, the current season of “Idol” averages about 25 million viewers a night, which matches last season’s total. The show’s viewers had declined in the previous four seasons.

Tyler continues to prove that his persona sells, even at age 63. Are you going to buy a copy of Steven Tyler’s tales of life on the edge?
