Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters Live on Letterman (John Paul Filo/CBS)
The [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Foo Fighters[/lastfm] spent a lot of time last night at the Ed Sullivan Theater. First they appeared as guests on Late Night With David Letterman, then they donned [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beatles[/lastfm]-esque black suits and ties, gunned their engines, and fired into a two-hour live set that featured songs from their new album, Wasting Light, as well as their extensive back catalog. Amazing.
We have one extra tidbit, though, that you haven’t yet seen–a special performance of the band’s 1997 single “Everlong” that includes a long, heartfelt introduction by David Letterman himself. He has a deep personal connection to the song. Watch and see why.
