Sunday Morning Blues Approaching Milestone

bb king Sunday Morning Blues Approaching Milestone

On Sunday March 13th, Sunday Morning Blues, hosted by Carter Alan reaches an unprecedented milestone:  it’s 600th show!

Beginning in August 1999 as a two-hour program from 9am to 11, Sunday Morning Blues was designed to take the typical WZLX listener further outside the box to explore the roots of Classic Rock.  Within two years of its inception, the audience demand was so great that the show was expanded an additional hour, 9am to noon.

Carter Alan has hosted every one of the shows since the beginning, but show #600 will be a bit different.  A typical Sunday Morning Blues show features six sets of music with 4 to 5 songs per segment.  Carter Alan is looking for your set of 4-5 blues songs (or 3 really long ones!). The six best sets that are submitted will be featured on the show from 9am to noon on March 13th.

Show #600 is your show.  Get those segment ideas to carter@wzlx.com ASAP!

Love the show been listening for years. My selections come from mid-to-late 60′s when I was a teenager.
    1. Fleetwood Mac: Show Biz Blues. 2. Johnny Winter: Mean Town Blues. 3. Climax Blues Band: Don’t Start Me Talking. 4. Paul Butterfield Blues Band: Thank you Mr. Poobah. 5. Blues Project: Black Night. 6. Colwell Winfield Blues Band: Mind to Give up Living.
Good luck on the 600th! Keep it Going.
